👋 Hi! Tell us about yourself and your training

My name is Chyl Robinson, I’m 27 years old and from Sunny Side San Diego, California. I currently reside in Las Vegas, NV with my wife and son. I’m into Wholesale Real Estate investing and also do a lot of independent contracting plus I breed french bulldogs.

I have been working out since the age of four. I had a burning desire for football at such a young age. I also competed in track and field as well as a child. I had the training aspect down ever since the sand box. My love for sports started my passion for training.

I’m also a huge competitor. I love Harley Davidson’s – currently learning to ride. I enjoy staying active from hiking to cycling, etc.

I’m currently working with several brands. We collaborate in all sorts of ways content such as videos, high quality photos, giveaways and mass advertisements on all three of my social sites.

I promote brands on my Instagram @chyl.robinson and also my blog chyldrobinson.com. I’m just beginning to dabble on YouTube, I have a couple promo videos uploaded.

Working with these brands is not only beneficial monetarily but also to gain more exposure for both parties. I truly love the endorphins that working out creates. I love the challenge and the natural high that is created.

Working out teaches me discipline. I get to challenge myself everyday and push my limits plus maintain a great physique.

I workout with my wife five to six days per week. My good friends Desmond White and Steven Okidi are also my workout partners when we get a chance to meet up.

⏱ Describe a typical day of training

I will always choose a gym that has a sauna I can hit after my workouts.

I think training with a partner is a good way to maintain accountability and to push one another harder. I currently train six days a week anywhere from an hour to an hour and a half each day.

My current regiment is as follows:

  • Monday: Back & Core
  • Tuesday: Cardio
  • Wednesday: Legs
  • Thursday:Chest & Shoulders
  • Friday: Stretch Day/Yoga
  • Saturday: Full Body
  • Sunday: Rest Day

I will randomly throw in a boxing class or cycling class here and there when I feel like i’m beginning to plateau. For cardio day, I like to use @Freeletics and @Pumatrac to utilize recommendations for HITT workouts.

I train at EOS fitness. I love the space and the atmosphere they provide. I will always choose a gym that has a sauna I can hit after my workouts.

I always use a pre workout. My current favorite is JAck3d. I take a scoop of that 30 minutes prior to workout. While stretching, I work on meditation. I enjoy having my protein in the form of an all fruit smoothie after my workout.

I’m always listening to music while I workout so the two main items you will find in my gym bag are headphones and hand grips.

👊 How do you keep going and push harder?

When it comes to my motivation, I have to always remember to keep my eyes on the prize. For me, I have a high metabolism so it is hard for me to keep my bulk up unless I’m constantly eating and hitting the gym.

I always make the gym a priority for my day. All you really need is a good hour for your workout, so its easy to designate some point of time from my day to the gym.

Gaining weight has always been my biggest challenge. I’ve had to learn to stay very patient with that because i am all natural in my gaining.

🏆 How are you doing today and what does the future look like?

I’ve always stayed a student of fitness, which has always allowed me to have a well-rounded workout regimen.

My training is successful because of my consistency. I’ve always stayed a student of fitness, which has always allowed me to have a well-rounded workout regimen.

My goals in fitness are to just continue with my consistency and staying driven. With my digital company, I want to continue to build great content and keep inspiring people worldwide.

With real estate, I want to reach closing 10 to 15 deals per month. My plan is to invest in apartment complexes and set my family up to be financially free for generations to come.

🤕 How do you recover, rest and handle injuries?

Hydration is key to recovery. It’s important to stretch both before and after each workout. I also like to hit the sauna after each workout as well for at least 10 minutes.

When sustaining injuries you have to take time off in order for your injury to heal. Jacuzzi and sauna is good to do during the recovery time.

🍎 How is your diet and what supplements do you use?

I do not follow a specific diet, I pretty much eat what I want. I do not recommend that for everyone. You have to know your body. I make sure to drink plenty of water.

Since my goal is to bulk I eat everything all day long. I do not consider any day a cheat day. I stay away from coffee because I do not like how it makes me feel.

I go out about every other weekend and have a few drinks here and there. I don’t see a problem with doing anything in moderation.

👍 What has inspired and motivated you?

I listen to a lot of podcasts to keep my spiritual motivation up. My favorite motivational speakers are TJ Jakes, Bob Proctor, Michael Beckwith, and Wayne Dyer. These podcasts help me to stay focused and push through any walls that arise.

Music is also a big part of my gym routine. I’m always listening to artists like 50 Cent, Bizzle, Nipsey Hussle and also any other motivational rapper who touches on getting through the pain.

I follow @magicfox, @vshred, and @rowanrow for fitness motivation on Instagram.

✏️ Advice for other people who want to improve themselves?

Set a routine and stick to it.

If you are new to the fitness world you need to start light and be patient. You have to get your body used to going to the gym. Set a routine and stick to it.

I’m always seeing people in the gym making the mistake of going to heavy in the gym. Sometimes it is more important to hit higher rep counts versus heavier weight.

Also, you need to focus on specific body parts throughout the week. Unless it is a full body day, you need to focus on set body parts each day. You do not want to be all over the place in the gym.

🤝 Are you taking on clients right now?

No at the moment.
